Saint ends beef with Stella
Good news for veggie shed developer Richard Saint: he can once again drink Stella Artois.
The Bericote Properties chief executive told us last month that he had given up the Belgian beer because he had been told it was made with beef. However, Stella’s brewer, InvBev UK, which is trying to shed the beer’s ‘wifebeater’ soubriquet, took exception to this, informing us that: ‘There are no fish or beef products used in the clarification process of Stella Artois. It contains only four ingredients: maize, hops, malted barley and water, and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.’
