Completion of largest Amazon warehouse in Europe

Works commenced on site in June 2020 with enabling works following the demolition phase, which included dealing with a 210 metre chimney (second largest in the UK) and many complex underground structures. Practical completion has been achieved with the keys now handed over to our occupiers - Amazon. Amazon will continue with their ramp-up works in the facility for the next few weeks before the first products start to be delivered to customers. When the building is operational, Amazon workers will pick, pack, and ship customer orders such as books, toys and housewares and many will work alongside robots, learning new skills and helping create a more efficient process to meet customer demand. The building boasts an impressive PV installation on the roof (largest in the UK) which will provide the building with green electricity throughout its life, as well as a BREEAM Excellent rating and EPC A rating.
