Bericote secures pre letting to DHL Express in Minworth, Birmingham

Bericote acquired the 14 acre development site in Minworth, which lies at the heart of the UK’s logistics Golden Triangle, in December 2014. Alongside the development of a Home Shopping Centre for ASDA Wal Mart, Bericote funded the development of Chrome 102, a 102,750 sq ft distribution warehouse, with Rockspring (Hanover Property Unit Trust). Chrome 102, which DHL has let in its entirety, is situated on the north eastern edge of Birmingham and is strategically located within five miles of 11 motorway junctions, including the M6 and M42, while Birmingham International Airport and the NEC are also in close proximity. The site adjoins ProLogis’ Park Midpoint Industrial and Distribution Park. Simon Spencer, Development Director at Bericote commented; “This has been a successful development for Bericote. The letting to a global player like DHL is testament not only to the quality of the development at Chrome 102, but also our strategy to deliver a well-located, prime distribution warehouse into an undersupplied market.
