We have successfully completed a new 563,000 sq ft internet delivery facility for the UK’s only online supermarket, Ocado.
Ocado is currently an expanding business with the ability to deliver to approx. 72% of UK households. The business continues to experience high levels of growth in terms of customer numbers, numbers of orders and revenue.
The new facility at Crossdox, Erith will be Ocado’s fourth Customer Fulfillment Centre (CFC). Their third site in Andover, Hampshire has recently been completed and this site in addition to Ocado’s existing Operational Sites at Hatfield and Dordon will underpin Ocado’s Year on Year planned growth rate of 15% p.a. The target date for opening the fully fitted out Erith CFC is Quarter 2, 2017.
When operational, the capacity at the Erith CFC will have the capacity to handle in excess of 200,000 orders per week.
Fronting the A2106, Bronze Age Way, Crossdox is ideally situated for easy access to London. The site is adjacent to a 130,000 sq ft Tesco.com warehouse developed by Bericote in 2013.
